This year, Temple Judea is proud to partner with the greater Los Angeles Jewish community for two unforgettable events honoring Yom HaZikaron & Yom Ha'Atzmaut.
On Sunday evening, May 12 at 6pm, we gather in Beverly Hills, alongside the Consulate General of Israel, Friends of the IDF, Temple of the Arts, and over 35 other Jewish organizations and congregations to commemorate Yom HaZikaron, Israel's Memorial Day, with a community-wide night of remembrance that will pay tribute to those who've made the ultimate sacrifice in Israel’s defense. Register here.
Then, on Monday, May 13 at 5pm we will again join with the greater LA Jewish community, this time at nearby Valley Beth Shalom for a Family Israel Festival followed by a Yom HaZikaron and Yom Ha'Atzamut program at 6pm that will include heartfelt prayers, inspirational speakers, and soul-stirring performances by John Ondrasik from the band Five for Fighting, along with LA’s talented cantors and Jewish choirs - including a solo from our very own Rabbi Cantor Wissot and ensemble performances from members of our adult choir, CITs, and teens in the LA chapter of the HaZamir International Teen Choir. We'll close the program at 8pm, linked hand-in-hand, with some Israeli dancing led by Orly Star. Advanced registration for this meaningful evening is required. Register here.
We look forward to your support as we demonstrate our deep and unwavering connection to Israel by honoring and participating in these holidays and events.
