Summer Magic at Camp Sababa
07.22.25 | Stories
This week kicked off an exciting time here at Temple Judea! A time that many of our families look forward to all year long… Camp Sababa!
Our beloved two-week experience for children entering Kindergarten through 7th grade is a favorite among kids and parents alike. It’s a magical experience that blends the fun of traditional camp—sports, arts and crafts, swimming, and Israeli dance—with meaningful Jewish learning, music, and tefilah.
Each year, campers explore a different aspect of Jewish tradition designed to educate, inspire, and ignite curiosity. This year’s theme, Holy Spaces, invites our campers to reflect on what—and who—makes something sacred. Through engaging lessons and creative activities, we’ll dive into this important topic in a hands-on way.
The highlight? Our campers will build scale models of the ancient Tabernacle and the original Temple—bringing history, spirituality, and community connection to life in the most tangible way.
Want to continue the fun & learning? Worry not! There’s still time for your kids to become part of the engaged learning at TJ. Our fantastic Religious School (weekly on Sundays or Tuesdays) starts the week of September 14. It’s the perfect space to explore Jewish values, history, and friendships interactively! Plus, we have more Camp Sababa headed your way with our week-long winter camp beginning December 29.
