Summer Fun at Sababa

Over the past two weeks, Temple Judea’s Camp Sababa took us on an unforgettable journey to Israel, bringing the spirit of our Jewish homeland to life with joyful Jewish melodies, creative art projects, and engaging lessons from the Torah. The laughter of happy campers filled the air, and the energy was electric as our religious school students immersed themselves in a world of fun and learning, creating memories that will last.
Our dedicated Religious School team and staff were "tour guides," leading our campers through a summer session of learning, laughing, and growing -- complete with gaga pit battles, pool splashes, Krav Maga lessons, challah baking, and other unforgettable moments. With exciting adventures like a field trip to a Kosher market for Israeli treats with our older campers, and imaginary travels to Israel using play passports for our younger ones, learning was so much fun that our campers didn't even realize they were learning! Instead, the sense of Jewish community blossomed, and friendships deepened over heartwarming moments and shared experiences. We even got our families in on the fun during our Sababa Shabbat service where we ate, worshipped, and Israeli danced together, and created beautiful mosaics to cherish as keepsakes.
