Each week, your Weekly Judean, contains feature stories that highlight what's happening in our Temple Judean community and the issues near and dear to our hearts.

A Meaningful Passover!

Tonight, at Passover seder tables across the San Fernando Valley and beyond, families will gather with wine and Haggadot, four questions and songs, and matzah and charoset to tell the story of how our people escaped bondage over 3,000 years ago...

Taking a cue from nature, it's the perfect time to rejuvenate our minds and bodies. Our Temple Judea auxiliaries are hosting two special Saturday retreats: a one-day Women’s retreat sponsored by Women of Temple Judea on May 11 and a Men’s retreat sponsored by TJ Brotherhood on May 18, both designed to foster growth, connection, and renewal.

Coming Together for Israel

Last Sunday was a solemn milestone for Jews around the world as we marked six months since the October 7 attacks. In these six months, the people of Israel, alongside our Temple Judea community, have  grappled with grief, a longing for peace, and a desire to offer - and to find - meaningful support.

Experience the meaning of Passover like never before with Temple Judea's immersive journey into history! On Friday, April 26th at 7:15pm immediately following our weekly Erev Shabbat service, be part of a one-of-a-kind multimedia adventure, delving into the heart of the Passover narrative through a captivating blend of theatre, food, art, and music!

Naming the Future

This summer, our campus' outdoor facilities will undergo a huge transformation, with two magical play yards that will inspire a new generation of young TJ learners and adventurers to revel in the wonders of nature - all through a Jewish lens.

Get ready for Purim! At TJ, Purim is a joyful carnival, a hilarious shpiel, an adorable ECC costume parade, and mouthwatering hamantaschen - an outright whirlwind of fun and festivity.

It’s that time of year again — PURIM TIME! A time for raucous, silly fun! And whether your idea of fun is cocktails with friends or visiting the KidZone with your littles, we’ve got something for everyone as Temple Judea celebrates Purim!

A video message from Rabbi Goor with greetings from Israel. We are coming up on the final weeks to register for our solidarity mission to Israel.  From March 31-April 5, Rabbi Aaronson will be leading a small group of our members to Tel Aviv for a once-in-a lifetime trip designed especially for Temple Judea - and you can be there with us!

Our well-loved play yard has not been renovated in over 30 years. That is why we are embarking on an ambitious project this summer to create two new, hands-on, developmentally appropriate outdoor environments that can used by our ECC and Religious Schools...
