Gather, Celebrate, & Connect

Now that the High Holy Days are behind us, we are truly starting anew — a new year of events, excitement, and endless possibilities! Whatever you’re looking to dive into this season, Temple Judea has something just for you.

This week, we step into summer with deep gratitude for the people who make Temple Judea the vibrant, multigenerational Jewish home that it is: you. This is also the time that we invite you to renew your annual commitment — not just to your synagogue, but to your community: a place where toddlers sing Shabbat songs, teens lead with heart, adults keep learning, and elders gather as lifelong friends.

The year’s emotional highlight came at the HaZamir International Festival in New York, where nearly 400 Jewish teens from 33 chapters across the U.S. and Israel gathered. On March 23, they performed at Carnegie Hall, sharing moving renditions of familiar prayers and songs.

Give, Grow, Thrive!

At Temple Judea, our community is completely underwritten by the generous support that each of you contributes.

The Benefit of Membership

As Temple Judea's membership renewal season approaches, we reflect on the incredible value each member brings to our interconnected community simply by being a part of it.

It's Mitzvah Day

Get set for Mitzvah Day on Sunday, May 19, 2024, as the entire Temple Judea community gathers to put our Jewish values into action! Featuring a Red Cross Blood Drive at 9am, a variety of fun and meaningful tikkun olam activities starting at 10:30am, an 11am panel of volunteer representatives, and donation collections all day, there's something for all ages and stages.

It's time to gather once again in sacred community for our "State of the Temple" and community town hall all wrapped into one! May 8 is our annual Congregational Meeting: an important caucus where we'll hear directly from our lay and professional leadership about what’s been happening at TJ in the past year, and what’s ahead for our future.

A Meaningful Passover!

Tonight, at Passover seder tables across the San Fernando Valley and beyond, families will gather with wine and Haggadot, four questions and songs, and matzah and charoset to tell the story of how our people escaped bondage over 3,000 years ago...

Taking a cue from nature, it's the perfect time to rejuvenate our minds and bodies. Our Temple Judea auxiliaries are hosting two special Saturday retreats: a one-day Women’s retreat sponsored by Women of Temple Judea on May 11 and a Men’s retreat sponsored by TJ Brotherhood on May 18, both designed to foster growth, connection, and renewal.

Coming Together for Israel

Last Sunday was a solemn milestone for Jews around the world as we marked six months since the October 7 attacks. In these six months, the people of Israel, alongside our Temple Judea community, have  grappled with grief, a longing for peace, and a desire to offer - and to find - meaningful support.
