~The Temple Judea Community Thanks You~
Every year at the High Holy Days, we ask the community to give what you can to ensure that Temple Judea continues to be a safe, beautiful place to gather, study, celebrate, and pray.
But this year is different.
This year, we are facing challenges that we've never faced before, challenges that have made us reexamine everything that we do: how we gather, how we study, how we celebrate, and how we pray.
Together, we've tackled these challenges. We've found ways to gather virtually, study on Zoom, celebrate in small groups in outdoor chapels, backyards, and on computer screens, and, as evidenced by this year's High Holy days, pray together - even when we've been forced apart.
In the midst of a global pandemic, when Temple Judea is needed, we are here, doing our essential work. While we've shifted how we do it, we haven't stopped for a moment - supporting our community, educating our children, mourning our losses, celebrating our joys.
This shift has cost us.
In addition to reduced revenue, we've had to accrue unexpected expenses - from producing online services to building out our virtual infrastructure to retrofitting our campus in order to meet new health guidelines. It has been a lot. Without your help, this year, Temple Judea will be in serious jeopardy.
If you have already contributed, we thank you. If you haven't yet given, please, give what is comfortable - but do give. Your gift - your involvement - matters to us.
