Thank you so much for your interest in our community. More than anything, we’d love to get to know you and your family, and for you to get to know us.
Our tradition teaches us that synagogues are meant to fulfill three major functions: worship, learning, and connection, and we strive to be all three: Beit T'filah, Beit Midrash, and Beit K'nesset.
- Worship: Temple Judea has been gathering place for spiritually minded, socially active Jews in the San Fernando Valley for over 65 years. While our connections to this place and the larger community run deep, our campus and our facilities are all brand-new, as we rebuilt our campus in 2011 – so we have the best of both worlds: history, communal memory, and connection, with state of the art, sustainable facilities for our schools, celebrations, and worship.
- Learning: From joyous celebrations to thought-provoking study sessions, Temple Judea offers a place for everyone to grow and learn: including a renowned ECC, groundbreaking Religious School and Camp Sababa, B'nei Mitzvah preparation and teen programs, robust adult learning offerings, creative music program, and B'tzelem social action groups.
- Connection: Temple Judea life is all about connection, and our diverse programs embrace the timeless tradition of l'dor v'dor -- nurturing and supporting our community from generation to generation. With tons of community groups and engaging events, you're sure to forge lasting friendships built on common ground.
If you think TJ might be the right place for you to find a second Jewish home and an extended Jewish family, we invite you come for a visit! Join us Friday night for Erev Shabbat services. They are a great way to get to know us and for us to know you, and they happen EVERY Friday evening at 6:15pm. Come casual and be ready to sing, be inspired, and meet new friends!
