TJVillage is a community, not a place. It is a connection—to friends and companionship, to shared interests and activities, to resources and caring. It is a vibrant community of mature adults, thriving independently together. It is:

  • A member-driven and member-led organization for mutual support
  • Temple Judea’s recognition of its older congregants and their importance in Temple life
  • Meant to help members navigate the changes, opportunities, and challenges of their senior years
  • Part of a national movement of villages and mentored by the Synagogue Village Network
  • An avenue to enhancing our lives and widening our circles at a time when it is most needed
  • A vibrant community of mature adults, thriving independently together

Out & About: Meets occasionally. Final details of timing and location not be available until close to event.

Whether you're a homebody or you love sitting in the theater, TJVillage has a monthly Movie Club option to meet your needs.  Our Movie Club @ Home offers film fans an opportunity to share their affection for cinema arts with friends. Members watch one or two announced movies from the comfort of home at their own convenience on streaming. Then they meet on Zoom to comment and critique. Usually, movies are chosen in pairs that complement or contrast with each other to enrich discussion. TJVillage Movie Club Out & About acts on a desire for a full and companionable in-theater movie experience—complete with big screen and audience reactions. Movie Clubbers meet in the theater lobby, watch the film together, and then adjourn to a nearby restaurant for dinner and conversation.
