Are you around the ages of 60 - 75 and looking for more ways to get involved at Temple Judea? Look no further than TJVillage NextGen, a special interest group of TJVillage! NextGen was created just about a year ago by a group of lay leaders involved with TJVillage as a way for young and vibrant seniors to socialize, build connections, and plan more relevant activities. Though they are a part of TJVillage, NextGen leaders wanted to provide programming and community-building events for those who wanted to stay active and go out in the evenings. Of course, age is just a number, and all are welcome!

Most of NextGen's activities are held offsite. Past events have included dinners out at restaurants like Vino & Tapas, Kravings, Persian feast, and Hot Wok, mini golf & dinner at PF Changs, brunches & dinners at members' homes, and hiking at Tree People followed by lunch at The Stand. NextGen also supports and attends TJVillage events, such as happy hours, as well as other Temple Judea gatherings and celebrations.

NextGen's planning meetings take place at Temple Judea on the 3rd Wednesday of each month at 3:30 pm.  Anyone is welcome to join! Some upcoming events include: the Getty Villa museum visit on Friday, July 17 @ 10am, dinner at a member’s home in Encino on Saturday, August 15 @ 5pm, a hike at Franklin Canyon & lunch on October 18, a Chanukah party at a member's home, and, of course, more brunches and dinners at various restaurants! There is also an upcoming TJVillage Shabbat Supper Club on Friday, July 31 after Erev Shabbat services - join for dinner and great conversation with fellow members and guests!

We hope to see you at one or all of our upcoming events!
