Temple Judea: What's the Appeal?

    10.07.25 | Stories

What is Temple Judea’s appeal?  It depends on who you ask! Whether its having challah and singing Shabbat songs with friends, or it’s the chance to help out and make a difference, there’s one thing that all of our members agree on:  Temple Judea is a place to worship joyfully, a place of support and celebration, a place of learning, connecting, giving, and reflecting.

What is Temple Judea’s High Holy Day Appeal?  This one is easy! It’s an opportunity to support this very special community with a financial gift, so that we can continue to do our work.  It is a sacred way to do your part.

In a world where Jews are under attack, there is only one true defense: more Jews. And while there are many Jewish organizations in the world, there is only one place where Jews are grown and created, and that is the synagogue. Temple Judea is not “just" a place to worship, learn, and celebrate. It’s not “just” the place where you show up to watch your daughter, all dressed up, cheered by her friends as this week’s  Shabbat Girl. It’s not “just” the place you drop your son off for Bar Mitzvah tutoring,  It’s not “just" the place you call when you’re planning your child’s wedding, or when you need advice or support, or when you want to say Kaddish or attend a holiday service.  Temple Judea is the antidote to antisemitism, because it is here that informed, passionate, proud Jews grow - surrounded by a vibrant Jewish community, and the reminder that Judaism is alive and well and worth protecting. It is here where our children learn to advocate for themselves and their community. Without synagogues, Judaism will fail to exist.  If you care about the safety of Jews and the preservation of Judaism, support your synagogue.

Our High Holy Day Appeal is the largest source of income outside membership and tuition. Without it, we cannot continue to create this kind of living, thriving, connected Jewish community. Please give. Learn more and donate here.
