A Sweet Start: Erev Rosh Hashanah Together

    09.16.25 | Stories

It’s hard to believe that Erev Rosh Hashanah is just around the corner! In just one week, we’ll gather with round challahs and apples dipped in honey—symbols of renewal, sweetness, and endless possibility. And don’t forget the pomegranate seeds! Tradition teaches that the number you eat reflects the good deeds you’ll perform in the year ahead.

As we prepare to welcome 5786, may we take a moment to pause and embrace the sacredness of the season. Let the sound of the shofar awaken our spirits and guide us on the path of t’shuvah (repentance), setting our intentions for the year to come.

Whether you’re joining us in the Goor Sanctuary, celebrating at Rosh Hashanah @ Camp, or streaming online, your Temple Judea clergy, staff, and lay leaders can’t wait to greet the New Year with you. We wish you a L' shanah tovah filled with joy, growth, blessings, and sweetness.

Special Update: Due to popular demand, we’re delighted to offer a Second Day of Rosh Hashanah service on Wednesday, September 24 at 10:00am. Come together with your community and let the uplifting music of Rabbi Cantor Alison Wissot & Guest Cantor Nathan Lam fill your heart. The service is free, but registration is required.
