Temple Judea is committed to social action.
Tzedakah is a defining characteristic of who we are.

Our B’Tzelem committees include members of all ages working together to make a difference.  Our volunteers have initiated programs that support healthcare, domestic violence prevention, LGBTQ+ rights, environmental protections  and more - including our flagship citizenship program and our sack lunch donation program.  Our work towards racial justice provides our members a way to make a substantive and sustained effort towards racial equality in our community and beyond.  Temple Judea proudly hosts clothing drives, food drives, blood drives, and many other collections throughout the year.  We believe that social justice belongs at the center of congregational life and that it is our responsibility to make a tangible, positive impact on our community.

Come join us, and experience the fulfillment of purpose that comes when we work together and commit to this core value of tzedakah.

Social Action

Our Social Action Committee takes responsibility for direct-action projects, including food collection, clothing drives, blood drives, and more.

The Green Team

The Green Team seeks to pursue knowledge and practices that can lead to more environmentally friendly and ecologically responsible decisions and lifestyles.

Pathways to Citizenship

Out signature program is the Nationally recognized Pathways to Citizenship program, which mentors green-card holders from residency to citizenship.

Judeans for Justice

Judeans for Justice engage in longer-term projects and coordinate our work with partner organizations, including the Reform movement’s Religious Action Center (RAC).

Mitzvah Day

Mitzvah Day is a once-a-year opportunity to get together with your Temple Judea family and turn your Jewish values into action while having fun and engaging in social action projects and donation collections focused on supporting the community at large.

Tzedakah

There is no greater mitzvah in Judaism than giving to others.  Temple Judea offers many opportunities to participate in this mitzvah of Tzedakah
