Happy Chanukah from TJ

    12.24.24 | Stories

Tomorrow evening, Wednesday, December 25, we begin the celebration of Chanukah — a time to honor the enduring power of light and hope. As we celebrate this remarkable story, we are reminded that even the smallest spark can shine brightly in the darkest of times. Just as a tiny bit of oil burned for eight days and a handful of Jews stood strong for their freedom, Chanukah teaches us that our own small actions and moments of resilience can have an extraordinary impact.

This year, we’re excited to bring the spirit of Chanukah into your home and heart in a meaningful way. Each day of the holiday, our clergy and staff will light a candle and share something special about the season — whether it’s a cherished memory, a beloved tradition, or a personal lesson they carry with them.

We invite you to join us in celebrating the light of the season by following us on Facebook or Instagram, where we’ll post a new video each day. We hope these shared reflections will inspire and uplift you as you light your own menorah. And on Friday, December 27, at 6:15pm, join us in the Goor Sanctuary (or online) for Erev Shabbat services as we light the third Chanukah candle together.

Let’s make this Chanukah a time to deepen our connections, spread joy, and remember the power of light — both the kind that fills the room and the light that radiates from within us!

    Happy Chanukah & Chag Sameach!
