2025 Artist in Residence: Joe Buchanan
12.17.24 | Stories
At Temple Judea, our Artist in Residence program offers a fresh way to connect with tradition by bringing extraordinary musicians to our community for Shabbat Shira, a special Shabbat that honors the musical moment in Jewish biblical history when Moses and Miriam led the Israelites across the Sea of Reeds, celebrating their liberation from Egypt with song. It’s a time for us to come together in joy, celebrate the power of music in our lives, and explore new ways to deepen our Jewish identity. This year, we are thrilled to welcome Joe Buchanan as our 2025 Artist in Residence for his Judea Tour. Joe, a Texas-born singer-songwriter, brings a unique blend of country music and Jewish themes that are shaped by his personal journey into Judaism, which he discovered later in life. Joe’s music speaks to the power of connection, healing, and the universal experiences that bind us all. His songs invite us to reflect on our own paths, struggles, and triumphs, all while offering deep, joyous community. Over his residency, Joe will lead a series of events designed to lift our spirits, inspire conversation, and unite us through song. His music radiates openness, warmth, and authenticity. This will be a memorable experience! Here’s what’s in store: |
