The 2025 World Zionist Congress Is Almost Here
02.25.25 | Stories, News
The 2025 World Zionist Congress (WZC), often called the "Parliament of the Jewish People," offers us, as Jews in the Diaspora, a powerful opportunity to shape the future of Israel directly. Long before the State of Israel was founded, the WZC was created with the vision that Israel’s success must be a shared responsibility for all Jews. Every five years, the Congress gathers to set policies and make decisions that affect Jewish communities worldwide—including how more than $1 billion is allocated to strengthen Jewish identity, education, and community development.
Between March 10 and May 4, 2025, you’ll have the chance to vote in this critical election, joining Reform Jews across the U.S. in selecting the American Zionist Movement's delegates from over 20 diverse slates. With 152 representatives at stake, your vote could have a direct impact on the decisions that affect both Israel’s future and global Jewry. We strongly encourage you to vote for the "Vote Reform" slate, ensuring that Reform values—like democracy, pluralism, women's and LGBTQ+ rights, and a secure path to peace—are prioritized in the allocation of resources and in shaping Israel’s policies. In these times of rising antisemitism and political instability, your participation is an essential step toward a just, secure, and inclusive future for the Jewish people. Stay tuned for more details next week in our March B'tzelem on how you can get involved. There's also a FAQ to learn more about who can vote and how to register. Your vote truly makes a difference—make it count!
