It’s that time of year again — PURIM TIME! A time for raucous, silly fun! And whether your idea of fun is cocktails with friends or KidZone with your littles, we’ve got something for everyone as Temple Judea celebrates Purim!
On Sunday, March 24 @ 9am, Religious School parents (both Sunday and Tuesday) are invited to kick off the festivities with Mimosas and Megillah! Enjoy mimosas (or OJ), bagels, and good company before rejoining all of the students and the rest of the TJ community at 10am for 2024's Megillah reading and shpiel. Get ready to laugh and sing along with Barbie: A Purim Shpiel as our TJ clergy and staff spin the tale of Purim like never before! After the Shpiel, our epic Purim Carnival begins - packed with inflatables, rides, midway games, a Kids' Zone for the littles, hamantaschen and other delicious treats, plus special vendors! But to make this all it can be, we need your help! Sign up for a fun-filled, short shift HERE- run a game, dish out snacks, and more! We’ve got plenty of ways you can help bring the joy of Purim to the community!
For young adults in their 20s and 30s, there's a groovy, 1960's themed Purim Bash the night before on Saturday, March 23 @ 7pm at Stephen Wise Temple. Grab your bell bottoms and peace signs for the combined TJTribe, Temple Emanuel, and Wise YAD event that's sure to get your grogger going. Get your costume ready and embrace your inner flower child while indulging in light bites, drinks, hamantaschen, and more!
Whether you’re laughing and singing along with the Shpiel, hitting the rides, groovin' in a get-up, or lending a hand at the carnival, let’s party Purim-style with our Jewish community! Come on Barbie, let's go party!
