REMEMBERING, CELEBRATING, AND RIDING FOR THE FUTURE: Today is Yom HaZikaron, Israel’s Memorial Day. Together, in solemn remembrance, we honor the soldiers and victims of terror who gave their lives to protect Israel’s future; an enduring reminder of both the price of independence and the strength of collective memory. Tomorrow, we move from remembrance to celebration with Yom Ha’Atzmaut, Israel’s Independence Day. Join us tonight for the Valley Yom Ha’Atzmaut Celebration, where we will honor Israeli independence through song alongside congregations from across the Valley. RSVP here; the location will be provided upon registration.
Temple Judea, together with Rabbi/Cantor Alison Wissot and our Adult and Youth Choirs, is proud to be among the sponsors of the Federation’s Valley-wide Yom HaZikaron/Yom Ha’Atzmaut program. We look forward to lifting our spirits through this beautiful collaborative celebration of our community’s shared talent and connection.
On Wednesday, April 22 at 9:30 AM, our campus will fill with the sounds of joy and laughter with ECC's Cycles for Smiles event and festive Israeli celebration. This family-friendly morning will enrich our souls with music, movement, and meaning, and is in support of Beit Issie Shapiro, our sister school in Israel serving children with severe disabilities. It’s a wonderful way for our families to build connections across continents.
These gatherings create space to reflect, to find meaning, and to be in community. We invite you to join us in marking this season together, embracing both remembrance and celebration with gratitude and a deep sense of pride.
